Project Title: The Brilliant Child

Project Description:

The Brilliant Child is a new original stage musical for children and families. The story follows Sam, a highly creative child who struggles to fit into a world that values speed and competition over imagination. Through friendship, challenges, and self-discovery, the show explores themes of teamwork, creativity, confidence, and believing in yourself.

Roles Available:

• Sam (Child Lead, playing age 9–13)

• Mia (Child Lead, playing age 9–13)

• Jay (Child Lead, playing age 9–13)

• Ensemble Children (playing age 8–16)

• Teacher (Adult)

• Teaching Assistant (Adult)

• Additional adult ensemble roles

Role descriptions, audition materials, and scripts can be provided to applicants upon request.

Remote Audition Requirements:

Applicants should submit:

• A short monologue similar in style to the character they are applying for

• One song of their choice that showcases their vocal ability

• A brief introduction about themselves

Compensation:

This is a profit-share/deferred payment production. Specific arrangements will be discussed with successful applicants.

Rehearsal Schedule:

Rehearsals are expected to begin from Autumn 2026 and continue into 2027. Rehearsal dates will primarily be weekends and selected evenings, with schedules confirmed according to cast availability.

Production Location:

Surrey and Greater London, United Kingdom.

Rehearsal Location:

Primarily Surrey-based rehearsal venues, including Kingswood, Banstead, Nork.
